daily UTC chat log for Anywherebb (Postline 6.1.30)
22:07, Xenomorph> However, it'd probably require iTunes or something stupid to work, and would only connect to Windows Vista SP7 and MacOS XI machines...
22:12, Zjc92> Ugh, Apple products... <_<
22:14, Xenomorph> Truly, Apple is the new Microsoft.
22:18, Zjc92> So is there anybody who plays clean and well? :P
22:26, Cryoburner> The Scrubbing Bubbles?
22:26, Zjc92 Bah dum psh
22:26, Zjc92> Dammit.
01:13, Fth> Well... you could always switch to Hactar
01:21, Zjc92> I'd rather try FreeBSD or something.
01:21, Zjc92> At least THAT has SOME support.
02:33, Cryoburner> Hactar has a perfect security record. No malware has ever been written for it.
02:49, Duskesko> Good selling point.
03:18, Duskesko> heh. fun idea. http://gizmodo.com/382452/nes-cartridge-modded-into-nes-system-space+time- remains-intact
03:19, Duskesko> oh, sorry. BETTAH LINKAGE! http://technabob.com/blog/2008/04/21/nes-system-built-into-game-cartridge/
03:27, Raptorjedi> There are some really brilliant console modders out there.
03:27, Raptorjedi> Most are pretty horrible, but every once in a while a real gem shows up
03:31, Raptorjedi goes back to bashing in Zombie heads and watching crazy clowns die on their chainsaws while laughing creepier than the Joker in Batman when he died.
04:09, Zjc92> And what game would that be, RJ? :P
04:09, Zjc92> OR ARE YOU JUST IN YOUR OWN SICK LITTLE WORLD?
04:17, Raptorjedi> Dead Rising :P
04:34, Zjc92> I hate you and your awesome zombie game. <_<
04:38, Zjc92> I think the crawlerbots are trying to kill me!
04:38, Zjc92> YOU HAVE TO HE- OHSHI-
06:31, Deanfrz> So I've taken up Anarchy Online
06:31, Deanfrz> now I know mmorgps are evil, but this one's free
06:33, Deanfrz> As al gore says in that movie "Dang, with that hundred dollars I could have bought ONE GALLON of GAS."
06:37, Azuraun2> I wanted to try that but the only way I could get it was from a slow torrent or something like that...
06:40, Deanfrz> funny, wasnt slow for me
06:49, Deanfrz whispers: not to brag or anything
07:44, Cryoburner> I just watched a couple HD trailers for Gran Turismo 5 Prologue, and it looks kind of ugly.
07:45, Cryoburner> The cars look nice, but the environments look like something you might expect to see on the PS2.
07:47, Cryoburner> Couldn't they afford to give the pine trees more than 2 polygons each?
07:53, Cryoburner> Back when GT3 was released 6 years ago, it looked awesome. GT5P doesn't really look much better. :\
07:55, Raptorjedi> 5P? You mean 4? :P
08:24, Tracco> 4?
08:24, Tracco> I think he meant what he said... Unless he's living in the past.
08:48, Raptorjedi> Oh! Duuuuuuuuuuur.
08:48, Raptorjedi laughs
08:49, Raptorjedi> I thought that said GTA :P
08:53, Raptorjedi> I iz read gud.
08:57, Cryoburner whispers: I even spelled out the full title first in an attempt to avoid that very scenario.
09:00, Cryoburner> At least they're moving on the different version numbers now.
09:27, Raptorjedi> Well I don't like racing games, so my eyes tend to glaze over when any are mentioned :P
11:36, Mcwgogs> damn, it's sunny and warm
15:41, Megagun> damn, it's overcast and warm
16:18, Stargazer> It is sunny, warm, and skyless. Just the way I like it. (except in the winter, when I rather prefer star-dotted, skyless, pitch-dark nights). :)
16:23, Stargazer> And on the subject of stars, Hubble once again got us covered. 59 brand new images of colliding galaxies has been released! http://hubblesite.org/newscenter/archive/releases/2008/16/ ^.^
18:22, Megagun decided to try and patch up Noctis IV CE a bit and get a properish release out, played around a bit, forgot what the state of the source was, and left it at that..
18:22, Megagun> Off to install Ubuntu 8.4!
18:38, Cryoburner whispers: More like Ewbuntu. :P
19:02, Megagun> Hrmph. Failed on trying to resize a partition... So I already went searching for Hiren's BootCD, but apparantly, nothing is screwed and my partition is still fine..
20:18, Hello! :) whispers: You're lucky, the last time I had open source software attempt to resize my partition, it screwed my drive up. Closed source is the only source I'll use for partition resizing.
20:36, Megagun> And what the hell has open source to do with this, Hello?
20:37, Megagun> Open source versus closed source, that is.
20:39, Hello! :)> I assumed you used an open source partition resizer. Though I suppose you could've used some closed source software. And why do you even care what I use.
